The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan reminded about the rules for admission to the first grade
The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan has approved a new electronic admission system for children to state and municipal educational institutions for the 2026/27 academic year.
According to the established rules, children born between January 1 and December 31, 2019, and between January 1 and December 31, 2020, can be enrolled in the first grade.
Children over the age of eight, as well as those who do not have documents confirming their identity, can only be admitted to school by decision of the Commission for Child Affairs (CDA).
Enrollment occurs in two stages through the digital technological system "Electronic Registration" in all regions of the country:
— at the first stage, children whose one of the parents (or legal representatives) is registered in the microdistrict related to this school are enrolled;
— at the second stage, children are accepted regardless of the parents' registration, provided there are available places in the educational institution.
The first stage will begin on April 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM, and the second stage will start on June 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM, if there are available places.
To register a child in school, legal representatives must use the "personal account" on the website 1mektep.edu.gov.kg.
It is important to note that during enrollment in the first grade of general educational institutions, no tests, exams, or competitions are allowed.
The key objectives of implementing the "Electronic Registration" system are:
— registration, accounting, and processing of data during the enrollment of children in the first grade;
— ensuring equal rights and opportunities for all children to receive primary general education.
The system processes personal data of children, applicants, as well as citizens of Kyrgyzstan and foreign citizens through the interagency electronic system "Tunduk" for data verification.
Information about the child includes:
— personal identification number (PIN);
— last name, first name, patronymic;
— gender;
— date of birth.
Information about the applicant includes:
— personal identification number (PIN);
— last name, first name, patronymic;
— gender;
— date of birth;
— legal address (registration information of the applicant);
— contact numbers (mobile phone);
— email.
Protection of personal data in the "Electronic Registration" system is carried out in accordance with the Digital Code of Kyrgyzstan.
