On social media, users began actively "canceling" Larisa Dolina, demanding the return of the apartment to its rightful owner before addressing the fraudsters. As a result, the term "Dolina effect" or "grandma's scheme" emerged, describing a situation where a seller attempts to contest a property sale after the transaction, claiming to be a victim of fraudsters.

In December 2025, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation confirmed Polina Lurye's ownership rights. The court also sent the case regarding Dolina's forced eviction from the apartment for reconsideration in the appellate instance.
