On January 6, a new bridge on J. Shamsiyev Street in Osh was put into operation, as reported by the press service of the mayor's office.

The length of the bridge is 21 meters, and the width is 9 meters. Sidewalks have been arranged on both sides of the structure, green zones have been created, irrigation ditches have been installed, and water pipes have been laid. A complete reconstruction of J. Shamsiyev Street has also been carried out, which is now widened to 22 meters and has four lanes of traffic.

“This bridge provides access to the Osh Regional Hospital and is an important transport hub. Previously, no repairs had been conducted here, so the mayor of Osh region, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, instructed to widen and asphalt the road during his inspection. During the work, several buildings that obstructed traffic were demolished, allowing for the creation of a modern and convenient road for the residents,” the press service of the mayor's office reported.

It is worth noting that in the spring, 14 houses on J. Shamsiyev Street were demolished without prior notice. The issue of demolition was partially resolved; however, some buildings were still destroyed.
