The Osh City Hall reported the completion of the installation of a 45-meter flagpole, which is located next to the "Dostuk" checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border. In addition, a modern rest area has been arranged here.
On December 30, the flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was ceremoniously raised on the flagpole, after which the new rest area officially began its operation. The ceremony was attended by Osh Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev, deputies of the Legendary Parliament and the Osh City Council, as well as consuls from neighboring countries and local residents.
Previously, there was a gas station at the site of the flagpole installation, which has been dismantled. The area has been improved: green plantings have been made, paving stones have been laid, and benches have been installed for the convenience of visitors.
