Last year, 92 km of new roads were built in Bishkek, setting a record for the capital. This was reported by the city's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev, in a podcast by the agency "Kabar".
According to the mayor, until 2023, the maximum volumes of road construction did not exceed 25 km per year, highlighting the significance of this achievement.

The mayor also noted that after the administrative-territorial reform (ATR), the total length of Bishkek's road network is about 2800 km, of which 1400 to 1800 km require repairs.
For 2026, the city's plans include the construction of another 120 km of roads, he added.
