The police are investigating the case of a child's death, who was receiving treatment from folk healers
On the night of January 21, a one-and-a-half-month-old boy died in Uzgen after a hijama procedure, during which incisions were made on his back. The child was taken to the hospital in critical condition, suffering from convulsions and severe bleeding, as well as post-hemorrhagic shock.
According to doctors, the infant's hemoglobin level was only 43–45, while the normal range is considered to be 110–120. Despite all efforts by the medical staff, they were unable to save the baby. It is known that the parents sought help from folk healers, but the duration of the procedures remains unknown.
In connection with the tragic incident, law enforcement agencies have initiated an investigation. Specialists are examining all circumstances related to the incident and analyzing the actions of those who performed the hijama.
