
The first phase of the project has been completed: 30 schools have been built across the country
Kyrgyzstan will receive a loan of 187.5 million Saudi riyals, which is approximately $50 million, from Saudi Arabia to finance the construction of new educational institutions. This is stipulated in the draft law on the ratification of the loan agreement, which is currently being considered by the Jogorku Kenesh.
The loan term will be 25 years, with a grace period of 5 years. The interest rate will be 1.5% per annum.
The allocated funds are planned to be used for the creation of five new schools and seven additional buildings in Bishkek, as well as two educational institutions in the Chui region.
The implementation of this project is scheduled for the period from 2026 to 2029.
The first phase has already been successfully completed, during which 30 schools were built throughout the republic.
