The inspection was initiated following a publication that appeared on social media on January 23, 2026.
During the inspection, it was discovered that major renovation work is being carried out on the first floor in the entrance area. According to information presented in the media, the old technological equipment has been dismantled and replaced with new equipment that is already in operation.
However, during the inspection, violations were also identified: there are problems with crumbling ceiling plaster, increased humidity, and mold due to insufficient ventilation in the inventory warehouse, as well as in the corridors and certain production workshops.
According to the conclusion of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, these deficiencies indicate the need for a major renovation of the kitchen premises. Cockroaches were also found during the inspection, both in the kitchen and in the food preparation areas. As a result, recommendations were made for a thorough cleaning and disinfection.
As a result of the inspection, based on the identified violations, the "Aurora" rest house was fined in accordance with part 1 of Article 214 ("Violation of the requirements of technical regulations, sanitary rules, hygiene standards, and other regulatory acts in the field of public health") of the Code of Offenses.
