The new devices will protect electrical equipment from overloads and damage
The Jalal-Abad Electric Networks Enterprise plans to install over 65 thousand smart meters for electricity consumption accounting.
According to the state policy on digitalization, by 2025, 82 thousand meters had already been put into operation in the region. These devices are installed in such populated areas as the Suzak and Bazar-Korgon districts, as well as in Mailuu-Suu and Kara-Kul.
The new meters will appear in the Kok-Art Valley, which is located in the Suzak district, as well as in the Toktogul and Nooken districts.
As reported by the agency, "smart meters not only ensure accurate accounting of electricity but also protect equipment from overloads and damage. They also allow for remote monitoring of electricity consumption, reduce the impact of the human factor on calculations, provide operational and accurate information on consumption, help identify illegal connections, and promote rational use of resources."
