Since the beginning of 2025, 28,000 smart meters have been installed in the capital, distributed across the districts as follows:
- Leninsky District - 9,140;
- Sverdlovsky District - 4,659;
- First May District - 11,742;
- Oktyabrsky District - 2,374.
- they can automatically transmit readings to the server in real-time;
- they ensure automatic disconnection of electricity supply when the set power limit is exceeded;
- they disconnect electricity in case of outstanding debts, restoring supply after the debt is settled;
- they inform about attempts of unauthorized access;
- they improve the quality of supplied electricity;
- they reduce the risks of electricity theft and minimize the human factor by minimizing contact between the controller and the consumer;
- they protect electrical equipment from overloads.
