In 2025, 45,396 "smart" meters were implemented in the Issyk-Kul region, according to information from the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Currently, out of 123,026 household subscribers in the region, 94,299, which is 75.8%, are already using "smart" meters.

Additionally, 90 km of outdated aluminum wires with a voltage of 10/0.4 kV have been replaced with new self-supporting insulated wires (SIP), which are characterized by increased safety and reliability. Furthermore, 1,300 old wooden poles have been replaced with reinforced concrete ones.

As part of improving the stability of electricity supply in the region, 18 transformer substations of 10/0.4 kV have been installed, ensuring reliable electricity supply for several settlements. The capacity of 23 power transformers has been increased.

To guarantee consumers stable and high-quality electricity supply, 7 new modern reclosers have been installed in the Issyk-Kul region.

The construction of a new 35/10 kV substation "Üch choku" in the Jyrgalan Valley has been completed and put into operation. In this area, 12.8 km of new cable lines have been laid, and 4 substations of 10 kV have been installed.

The total capacity of high-voltage substations in the Issyk-Kul region has increased to 56.5 MVA, significantly enhancing the reliability of electrical networks. In particular:

- the transformer at the "Przhevalsk" substation has been replaced from 25 MVA to 40 MVA;

- at the "Vostochniy" substation — from 16 MVA to 25 MVA;

- at the "Pokrovka" substation — from 10 MVA to 16 MVA;

- at the "Zheti-Ögüz" substation, 10 MVA transformers have been replaced with 16 MVA ones.

Similar work has also been carried out at the "Yuzhnaya-1", "Saru", "Barskoon", "Keng-Suu", and "Ulahol" substations.
