The head of the State National Security Committee proposed to increase the speed of road construction in the Issyk-Kul region
At a meeting dedicated to road repairs in the Issyk-Kul region, the chairman of the State National Security Committee (GKNB) Kamchybek Tashiev recommended that workers from the Chinese company China Road learn the Kyrgyz language.
Currently, the company's specialists are working on the restoration of the Barskoon – Karakol road section.
When Tashiev inquired whether they spoke Kyrgyz, the builders replied that they only spoke Russian.
“Why haven’t you learned to speak Kyrgyz yet? You have been working in Kyrgyzstan for 20 years. It’s time to learn!” noted the head of the security service.
Additionally, he called for speeding up the road repair work.
“When construction drags on, it creates inconveniences for people. We don’t need that. Therefore, we are asking you. For now, this is just a request, as the deadlines still allow for it. We won’t issue orders,” added Kamchybek Tashiev.
