Head of the State National Security Committee noted that judges' salaries have been increased
Kamchybek Tashiev, chairman of the State National Security Committee (GKNB), voiced important demands for judges, emphasizing that their main task is not to engage in politics or accept bribes, but to focus on delivering fair decisions. This statement was made during a meeting with judges and law enforcement representatives in the Issyk-Kul region.
“It is impossible to make decisions based on connections or bribes. Judges must remain outside of politics and make decisions in accordance with the law. The judicial system itself should work on cleansing its ranks, but we are not staying away from this task either. We have information that some judges are involved in political discussions and are communicating with certain individuals regarding authorities and high-ranking officials. We have already prepared materials and will soon take measures against such judges,” Tashiev warned.
He also noted that the working conditions for judges have improved, and their salaries have been raised.
“A district court judge now receives 250,000 soms, a regional court judge — 300,000 soms, and a Supreme Court judge — about 500,000 soms. You have been provided with better working conditions and salary increases. Work honestly. We are closely monitoring your work. Only the law can protect you; no other 'roof' will help,” he added.
