On December 29, a meeting organized by the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) took place in Talas. It was attended by leaders of local and regional administrations, representatives of law enforcement agencies, as well as heads of educational institutions in the region.
The main goal of the meeting was to prevent conflicts and offenses among students, as reported in a press release from the GKNB.

During the meeting, it was reported that the GKNB is conducting a preliminary investigation into the "antisocial behavior of 7th graders in Talas," information about which became available through social networks.
According to the GKNB, it has been determined that the work on preventing offenses among minors by government agencies is not being carried out effectively enough, which violates the requirements for the spiritual and moral education of youth.
In this regard, the agency decided on the "necessity to eliminate the causes and conditions that contribute to offenses among minors and their recurrence, as well as to prevent public resonance and negative social consequences."
As a result of this decision, the director of School No. 5 and the deputy head of the Talas Department of Internal Affairs were dismissed. Disciplinary measures were also taken against the head of the Talas Department of Education and the social educator of this school, while four police officers in the city received reprimands.
In addition, minors who committed offenses were placed on preventive registration, and their parents were fined in accordance with current legislation.
The GKNB did not provide details about the specific incident.
Important issues were also discussed at the meeting, such as identifying adolescents prone to offenses, increasing the accountability of educational institution leaders, and improving cooperation between educational institutions and law enforcement agencies. Among the topics discussed were the prevention of bullying, violence, and aggression in the school environment, as well as creating a safe and comfortable educational atmosphere.
