Director of the school in Talas fired for antisocial behavior of students

As a result of antisocial behavior among students in Talas, there have been personnel changes: the school principal and one police officer have been dismissed. This information was announced by the press center of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

On December 29, as part of preventive measures against conflicts and offenses among students, a meeting was held organized by the GKNB. Representatives from regional and district administrations, law enforcement agencies, heads of educational departments, and school principals from the Talas region participated in the event.

According to the GKNB, a preliminary investigation is currently underway regarding the incident involving the antisocial behavior of seventh-grade students. This case has become widely discussed on social media.

It has been revealed that the work of state bodies in preventing offenses among minors leaves much to be desired. The necessary requirements for the spiritual and moral education of the younger generation are not being met.

In light of the above, the GKNB has decided to eliminate factors contributing to the occurrence of offenses among youth, as well as to prevent negative social consequences.

In accordance with this decision, the principal of secondary school No. 5 and the deputy head of the Talas Internal Affairs Department were relieved of their duties. Disciplinary measures were also applied to the head of the city education department and the social educator, while four internal affairs officers received reprimands.

The minors who committed offenses have been placed on preventive registration, and their parents have received fines in accordance with the law.

The GKNB does not disclose details of the incident involving the students.

Several important issues were also discussed at the meeting:

— identifying adolescents prone to offenses;

— increasing accountability among educational institution leaders;

— improving interaction between educational and law enforcement agencies;

— measures to prevent bullying, violence, and aggressive behavior in educational institutions;

— creating a safe and comfortable educational environment.
