The Bishkek Electric Networks Enterprise (PES) reported the completion of repairs on 1917 transformers over the past year.
As part of a comprehensive program to enhance the reliability of electrical equipment, PES is carrying out repairs, technical maintenance, as well as the construction and reconstruction of power transmission lines.
This year, a new 110/10 kV high-voltage substation named "Muras" was put into operation in Bishkek.
The "Muras" substation is equipped with modern technologies, including:
• a power transformer with a capacity of 40,000 kVA;
• gas-insulated switches at 110 kV;
• disconnectors at 110 kV;
• a complete outdoor switchgear 10 kV (KRU).
According to PES, during 2025, major repairs were conducted on:
- equipment at 6 substations with a voltage of 220-110/35 kV;
- 336 transformer substations (TP) 6–10/0.4 kV;
- 26.7 km of power transmission lines (PTL) 220-110/35 kV;
- 148 km of power transmission lines 10–0.4 kV;
Current repairs were also carried out on:
- equipment at 47 substations with a voltage of 220-110/35 kV;
- 1917 transformer substations (TP) 6–10/0.4 kV;
- 560 km of power transmission lines (PTL) 220-110/35 kV;
- 2175 km of power transmission lines 10–0.4 kV;
- 891 km of cable power transmission lines 10–0.4 kV.
As part of the reconstruction and capital construction plan over the past year:
- 2850 smart meters were installed;
- 87 km of power transmission lines were replaced with SIP-2 wires;
- 31 km of cable lines were replaced with modern cross-linked polyethylene cables;
- 32 km of PTL were laid using SIP-3 wire;
- approximately 6 km of cable lines were laid;
- the capacity of 33 transformer substations was increased.
