The implementation of Automated Systems for Commercial Accounting of Electric Energy (ASKUE) is aimed at increasing the efficiency of electricity distribution and enhancing control, which will ensure a more accurate and transparent accounting of electricity consumption.
As of the beginning of 2025, smart meters have been installed in the following districts:
• Lenin District — 9,140 units;
• Sverdlov District — 4,659 units;
• Pervomaisky District — 11,742 units;
• Oktyabrsky District — 2,374 units.
It is planned that in 2026, an additional 42,000 new smart meters will be installed.
The advantages of smart meters include:
• automatic transmission of readings to the server in real-time;
• disconnection of electricity supply in case of exceeding the established capacity;
• disconnection of electricity in case of debts with subsequent reconnection after payment;
• notification of unauthorized access attempts;
• improvement of the quality of supplied electricity;
• reduction of the risks of electricity theft and minimization of interaction between the controller and the consumer;
• protection of electrical equipment from overloads.
