- At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 14, 2026, Deputy Nurlanbek Azygaliev expressed the need to revise the existing restrictions on electricity consumption.

In his opinion, the unified limit of 3 kW, which was established during peak consumption periods in the heating season of 2025–2026, does not take into account the real needs of residents in many regions, especially in high-altitude and cold areas.

“For example, in Suusamyr, this volume is completely insufficient. We need to consider the climatic conditions of each region,” Azygaliev added.

He noted that an equal approach to the capital and remote mountain villages is unfair and creates significant problems for residents, especially in conditions of severe frost.

The deputy called for a solution to the problem, suggesting the implementation of differentiated limits that would take into account the geographical and climatic features of various territories.
