At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 14, deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov spoke about the situation of Kyrgyz citizens who were legally in Russia. According to him, he received appeals from citizens whose bank accounts were blocked, and their movement became restricted, forcing them to leave the Russian Federation.

Omurzakov noted that "the registry is not functioning correctly," and emphasized that Kyrgyz citizens faced serious financial difficulties before the New Year, which led to a mass exodus from the country. He called for a resolution to this problem at the level of government agencies, as Kyrgyzstan and Russia are strategic partners, as well as for the development of a mechanism for exiting the registry.
