At a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on issues of the judicial system, law enforcement, combating crime, and countering corruption, Deputy Attorney General Ümütkan Konkubayeva reported on the deportation of four citizens of Kyrgyzstan from Mongolia.

During the discussion of the draft law "On the Ratification of the Extradition Treaty between the Kyrgyz Republic and Mongolia," which was signed on July 21, 2025, in Bishkek, the Committee emphasized the importance of creating a legal framework for the extradition of individuals convicted of crimes so that they can serve their sentences in their homeland.

Deputy Suyun Omurzakov inquired about how many criminal cases had been initiated against citizens of Kyrgyzstan. In response, Konkubayeva noted that there was one criminal case that had been closed due to lack of evidence of a crime. She also added that the deportation of the four citizens occurred due to administrative offenses.

Omurzakov mentioned a case where a citizen of Kyrgyzstan was robbed in Mongolia and asked the General Prosecutor's Office to pay attention to such incidents. The Deputy Attorney General assured that the new document would allow for a more detailed examination of such issues.
