Currently, there are about 50 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Mongolia, reported Deputy Attorney General Ümütkan Konkubayeva during a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which was addressing issues related to the judicial system, law enforcement activities, the fight against crime, and corruption.

On the Committee's agenda was the draft law "On the Ratification of the Extradition Treaty between the Kyrgyz Republic and Mongolia," signed in Bishkek on July 21, 2025. This document establishes the legal basis for the extradition of convicted individuals, allowing them to serve their sentences in their homeland.

Konkubayeva also noted that in some cases, criminal cases had been initiated, some of which were suspended. Additionally, there were instances of the deportation of Kyrgyz citizens from Mongolia due to violations of local legislation.
