In Bishkek, the status of 52 objects of historical and cultural heritage was revoked, and Deputy Gulya Kozhokulova asked the city's Vice Mayor Azamat Kadyrzhanov who would be held responsible for this.

According to the Vice Mayor, all objects underwent the necessary procedures. In some cases, these are buildings that are in emergency condition or unsuitable for use. There are also objects that cannot be restored. The city administration is taking measures to restore those historical objects that can be brought back to life, he noted.

The deputy insisted on clarifying who is responsible for the objects that were included in the list but lost their status. She emphasized that according to the legislation, such objects should be preserved and restored, not destroyed. "Some of them were destroyed due to negligence and inaction. You might not even have been aware of this. You need to acknowledge it and make a loud statement instead of remaining silent," Kozhokulova said, criticizing the city administration.

This discussion took place on December 26 at an extraordinary meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee dedicated to industrial policy, transport, the energy complex, architecture, and construction. The agenda also included the consideration of the city of Bishkek's master plan project until 2050.
