The Ministry of Health does not support the bill that proposes to allow heads and department heads of medical institutions to work simultaneously in private clinics in Bishkek and Osh. This was reported by the First Deputy Minister of Health Aibek Matkerimov.

This bill was presented at a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh that deals with labor, health, women's rights, and social issues. The initiator of the document was deputy Baktybek Choybekov from the VII convocation.

Gulkan Moldobekova, a committee deputy, pointed out that according to the regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh, bills proposed by deputies of the previous convocation must be withdrawn and submitted again if no final decisions have been made on them. She noted that this is a common practice in parliament.

Ulukbek Karybek uulu, also a deputy, expressed the opinion that the adoption of this bill is unacceptable, as a law has already been passed prohibiting heads and department heads from combining activities in state medical institutions with work in private clinics. He suggested that the proposed amendments might be related to lobbying interests.

In response, Aibek Matkerimov emphasized that the initiative does not reflect the position of the Ministry of Health. He added that the current legislation remains in effect, and no decisions on the bill have yet been made, as it has not been properly reviewed and approved.
