At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Agricultural Policy, Water Resources, Subsoil Use, Ecology, and Environmental Protection, held on January 12, Deputy Saltanat Amanova proposed to organize new Bekkari pits in the regions. She noted that there is only one such pit in Osh, built back in the 1970s, and it is already filled. As a result, local residents are forced to dispose of animal remains in random places.

According to Amanova, within the framework of the project presented by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, it would be advisable to create pits throughout the country.

Deputy Head of the Ministry Zhanibek Kerimaliev reported that the issue of Bekkari pits is being considered in the context of another project. He added that if a pit becomes filled, it will be isolated.

Kerimaliev emphasized: "We aim to expand this practice across the republic." He also reported on plans to implement mobile crematoria that could service pastures.
