Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Zhanibek Kerimaliev emphasized that the initiative aims to improve the health of the population and animals, as well as to protect the environment in the country.
The first phase of the project includes three key areas:
- Control of zoonotic infections: enhancing disease monitoring among animals, creating effective methods for diagnosis and treatment, and raising awareness of the risks of infection transmission between animals and humans.
- Counteracting antibiotic resistance: rational use of antibiotics in medicine and veterinary medicine, developing alternative treatment methods, and preventing the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
- Food safety: improving sanitary conditions at all stages of processing and production of food products, and strengthening quality control.
Additional funds will be allocated to two other ministries that will carry out their tasks within the framework of this project.
