In 2025, veterinary activities covered 25 million 546 thousand animals, as reported by Bakyt Sharapov, Deputy Director of the Veterinary Service for the Development of Animal Husbandry, Pastures, and Feed under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, on the air of Birinchi Radio.
According to him, out of the total number of animals, 23 million 537 thousand received preventive vaccinations, 12 million 17 thousand underwent diagnostic examinations, and 738 thousand animals were treated for parasites.
“We exceeded the planned indicators by 104 percent,” he noted.
Sharapov also added that strict veterinary control has been established to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in livestock markets.
“All animals arriving at markets and slaughter points are under constant observation by veterinary specialists. Every buyer has the right to request a veterinary certificate from the seller confirming the control,” he emphasized.
