At a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social issues, Deputy Gulnara Baatyrova addressed the Ministry of Health with a request to strengthen control over the implementation of baby food from the company "Nestlé."

She emphasized that the reason for her appeal was that in some stores and pharmacies across the country, the sale of baby formulas that had been recalled from circulation continues. "Despite the recall, this product is still available to consumers," Baatyrova noted.

As previously reported, the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance received a notification from Forester LLC — the official distributor of "Nestlé" products — about the recall of several items. The list included dry instant milk, fermented milk, and lactose-free formulas under the brands NAN 1 OPTIPRO, NAN OPTIPRO 2, NAN EXPERTPRO, NAN 2 Optipro, PRENAN, NAN LACTOSE FREE with specific production dates.

The recall of the products is a precautionary measure due to the potential risk of the presence of the toxin cereulide in the raw material (arachidonic acid).
