In Kyrgyzstan, an initiative is being discussed to reduce the number of state awards from 46 to 20, which is expected to help maintain their value. Deputy Minister of Justice Kuban Kazakov voiced this proposal at a meeting of the parliamentary committee dealing with constitutional legislation and local self-government.

Kazakov noted that over the past 15 years, 1,034 state awards, 2,837 honorary certificates (known as "ardak gramotasy"), and 2,215 honorary titles ("ardak naam") have been awarded in the republic, not counting the "Baatyr Ene" order and the "Ene Danky" medal.

“These figures indicate that honorary certificates and titles are awarded too frequently, which, in turn, leads to a decrease in their significance,” he added.

As a result, the deputies supported the proposed bill "On State Awards, Honorary Titles, and State Prizes of the Kyrgyz Republic" in the first reading and sent it for further consideration in parliament.
