During the period of price regulation on meat, including beef and lamb, 129 fines were issued, totaling 506.5 thousand soms. Muratbek Imankulov, Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy, announced this information on the radio.

He clarified that fines are imposed on both individuals and companies: for citizens, the fine amounts to 3 thousand soms, while for organizations it is 13 thousand soms.

The analysis of the situation by regions is as follows: in Bishkek, 16 fines were imposed; in Naryn, 16; in Karakol, 9; in Talas, 2; in the city of Osh, 29; in Manas, 14; in Batken, 14; and in Osh region, also 29 fines.

“Since the introduction of regulation, territorial divisions have been actively working on price monitoring and explanatory work. In case of exceeding the allowable maximum prices, penalty measures are applied,” added the deputy chairman of the agency.

Background of the issue

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce began temporary state regulation of prices on meat (including beef and lamb, excluding boneless meat) from August 11, 2025, for a period of 90 days, as reported by the ministry's press service.

Subsequently, on November 17, 2025, an online meeting took place, attended by representatives of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, city mayors, local state administrations, and market leaders.

As a result of this meeting, a decision was made to extend the temporary state regulation of prices on beef and lamb (excluding meat cuts) in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic until December 31, 2025.
