In Kyrgyzstan, state regulation of prices for meat products will be in effect until the end of 2025. This was announced by Muratbek Imankulov, Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service of the Ministry of Economy, during a radio interview.

He indicated that from August 7, 2025, maximum (ceiling) prices have been established for beef and lamb. This decision was the result of market monitoring, which showed an increase in prices for meat products.

“The establishment of a maximum price implies a ban on sales above this level. However, sales at lower prices are permitted. For example, in Bishkek, the maximum price for bone-in beef is 680 soms per kilogram, and for bone-in lamb, it is 670 soms,” added Imankulov.

According to him, the state regulation measures will be in effect for 90 days. The initial period was set to expire in November, but the regulation was then extended until December 31, 2025. The question of further extension has not yet been resolved.
