The exemption applies to fully electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids
According to information from the State Customs Service, this step is the result of a decision made by the Eurasian Economic Commission on December 5, 2025. The exemption will apply to pure electric vehicles as well as to plug-in hybrid vehicles.
With the introduction of the exemption, updates to the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the EAEU concerning the classification of vehicles will come into effect.
