In Uzbekistan, electric charging stations and their components will be exempt from customs duties.
In accordance with the new decree, the president confirmed support for the economy and the provision of certain goods to the population. In particular, in 2026−2027, imported charging stations for electric vehicles, as well as necessary components and equipment for service infrastructure, will be exempt from duties.
For the next two years, there will also be no duties on spare parts for spinning and weaving machines used in silk production. Additionally, mulberry seeds and seedlings, as well as elite and super-elite silkworms, will be exempt from duties.
As part of the new measures, tax benefits will be introduced for enterprises dealing with waste. Until January 1, 2031, the Waste Management Directorate and companies engaged in sanitation and recycling will be able to pay corporate tax and social tax at a rate of only 1%.
To qualify for these benefits, enterprises must ensure that revenues from the collection, transportation, sorting, and processing of waste account for at least 90% of total revenue for the reporting period. Additionally, all employees must receive a salary of at least 2 minimum wages (2.542 million soms).
Earlier, there were reports about plans to introduce preferential auto loans for electric vehicles, as well as state support for charging stations.
