The Financial Market Regulation and Supervision Service reported 17 Instagram accounts that organize illegal lotteries and prize draws without the necessary permission.
During the monitoring conducted, it was found that some popular online platforms offer car, cash, and tech giveaways, while requiring participants to purchase goods or services. Such practices are considered lotteries, for which a government license is required; however, these organizers do not have such a license, notes the State Financial Supervision Service.

The State Financial Supervision Service reminds that the mentioned pages do not have permission to conduct lottery activities, and their actions may be considered illegal draws.
The agency also listed signs indicating illegal lotteries:
absence of the necessary license;
requirement to transfer money or purchase goods to participate;
lack of official rules and deadlines;
promises of large winnings without legal grounds.
Experts from the State Financial Supervision Service advise not to share personal information with organizers of dubious promotions and to check the registration of lotteries in official registers.
