The electricity consumption limit for the Naryn region is proposed to be increased to 7 kWh

The deputy pointed out that the region uses only 3% of the total electricity volume in the country

During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Ulan Bakasov requested to increase the daily electricity consumption limit for the Naryn region to 7 kilowatt-hours per consumer.

He emphasized that the current winter in the region is particularly harsh, and the existing restrictions create significant difficulties for local residents. According to him, the total daily electricity consumption in Kyrgyzstan is 66 million 233 thousand kWh, of which the Naryn region uses only 2 million 801 thousand kWh, which is approximately 3% of the total volume.

“I ask to raise the limit to 7 kilowatts. Winter is almost over, there is only one month left. This will not have a significant impact on the country's energy system, as the Naryn region consumes only 3% of electricity,” Bakasov noted.

He also reminded that in 2025, a limit of 3 kilowatt-hours per subscriber per day was established across the country. In December, the limit for the Naryn region was raised to 4 kWh, and in January to 5 kWh due to severe frosts.
