Currently, only 35-40 ambulances are operating in the capital.
During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Zhanibek Abirov made a statement to the new leadership of the Ministry of Health.
He noted that after the administrative-territorial reform, the area of Bishkek has significantly increased, and the population has reached 1.3 million people. At the same time, there are currently only 35-40 ambulances operating in the city.
“The waiting time for an ambulance is about two hours after a call. I was informed at the institution that the digitization of the process is complete, there are enough specialists, but there are not enough vehicles,” Abirov said.
The deputy urged the Ministry of Health to consider the possibility of acquiring additional ambulances for the capital.
