The autoclave used for sterilization was put into operation in 1996.
During a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva raised the issue of serious problems faced by the National Center for Maternal and Child Health in Bishkek. She pointed out that the old autoclave for disinfecting medical instruments and materials often breaks down.
Every day, it is necessary to sterilize over 100 instruments and pieces of equipment. In the event of a breakdown of the autoclave, sterilization is carried out at Maternity Hospital No. 6 with the help of an ambulance.
Sadyrbaeva also noted that materials and instruments intended for newborns should not be sterilized together with instruments from the purulent department and other hazardous areas. Such practices violate sanitary standards and pose a threat to patient safety.
