Kozhokulova noted that local residents are asking the Ministry of Health and the Cabinet of Ministers to find a solution and organize a boarding house or dormitory for the relatives of cancer patients. "Cancer patients require special care, and while some kind-hearted people from neighboring houses provide temporary housing, many relatives of patients who cannot afford to pay for hotels are forced to sleep in yards during the summer," she explained.
The deputy also reminded that Health Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov is considering the issue of accommodating the companions of children with cancer, however, in her opinion, this problem also concerns adult patients.
Kozhokulova emphasized: "It is necessary to take measures: either to accommodate companions on the first floors of residential buildings or to involve the business community in solving this problem. The situation is indeed serious, and I believe that the new minister should pay attention to issues of adult oncology," she concluded.
