At a parliamentary meeting, Deputy Ulukbek Karybek uulu reported that in the Ak-Zhar residential area of Bishkek, which is home to 15,000 people, there is not a single school.

The neighboring residential areas of Nurkojo and Adilet boast 3,000 students who are forced to seek educational institutions in other districts.

The deputy noted that the situation in Ak-Zhar contrasts with the Chon-Alai district, where there are several schools. He emphasized that building a school in this residential area should be a priority task.

“At a recent off-site meeting, Vice Mayor Konushbekovich [First Deputy Mayor Mirlan Baigonchokov] and the akim of the Sverdlovsk district [Mederbek Amangeldiev] were present, but they did not attend. I believe their absence complicates our work and violates the regulations. The main problem lies in the lack of a suitable location for construction. The city plans to build 20 schools, but Ak-Zhar is not included in this plan,” he noted.
