The National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood commented on the information voiced by the deputy regarding potential risks of cross-infection in the medical institution.

Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva stated about the potential threat of cross-infection that could arise due to the lack of an autoclave at the NCPCM.

In response, the center clarified that two fully equipped sterilization centers operate at the institution — located at: 190 Akhunbaeva Street and 1 Togolok Moldо Street.

“They can substitute for each other if necessary, which helps avoid disruptions in operations,” representatives of the institution reported.

For sterilization, the NCPCM uses modern devices: two steam sterilizers that were put into operation in November 2025, two plasma sterilizers, as well as a GP-600 sterilizer, which, however, is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance until January 16, 2026.

“Sterilization procedures are carried out in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological standards, which reduces the risks of cross-infection to zero. Our center does not have a shortage of equipment, and the sterilization centers operate as usual, ensuring safety for patients,” the NCPCM added.
