
During his working trip to the Issyk-Kul region, President Sadyr Japarov introduced the founder of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, to the tourist opportunities of Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the president's press service.
They jointly inspected the infrastructure of the Karakol ski base, where Japarov emphasized the tourist prospects of the region.
He noted that the development of ski clusters is an important direction that allows making the Issyk-Kul region a center of international tourism, particularly focusing on the construction of the Ala-Tuu Resort cluster.
The president and Changpeng Zhao ascended to one of the highest points of the complex, from where a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding mountains was visible.
Changpeng Zhao positively assessed the quality of the snow and the level of service, emphasizing that the region has every chance to become competitive compared to leading European resorts.
The meeting concluded with an informal tea gathering, during which they continued to discuss infrastructure projects.
