Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, signed a decree according to which the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security will now operate as the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic. The president's press service reported this, specifying that the decision was made in accordance with the Constitution and the constitutional law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic."
The decree also outlines changes in the structure of the Cabinet of Ministers that were previously approved. The new version of the decree specifies the position of the chairman of the GKNB and the addition of the State Border Service to the list of agencies.
According to this decree, the Border Service of the GKNB is separated and becomes an independent state body.
The Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with adapting its decisions to the new conditions arising from this decree and taking the necessary measures.
The decree comes into force upon its official publication.
