The changes made affect the presidential decree "On the Structure and Composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic".
President Sadyr Japarov signed the decree, which is based on Articles 70 and 71 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as on part 2 of Article 4 of the Constitutional Law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic".
In particular, the decree provides for the following changes:
1. In the presidential decree "On the Structure and Composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic" dated October 12, 2021, No. 425:
in paragraph 1:
– the sixth paragraph will be updated to the following:
"– Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic";
– a new paragraph will be added:
"– State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic".
2. The Border Service, which was previously part of the SCNS, will be transformed into the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
3. The Cabinet of Ministers is instructed:
– to adapt its decisions in accordance with the new decree;
– to take necessary measures arising from this decree.
4. The decree comes into force from the moment of its official publication.
We remind you that the Border Service was integrated into the SCNS in November 2020.
On February 10, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree stating that Kamchybek Tashiev has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the SCNS.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov has been appointed acting head of the State Committee for National Security.
In addition, three deputies of the Chairman of the SCNS have resigned.
