The issue of appointing a new speaker was brought up for discussion immediately after Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu announced his intention to resign from the position.
However, Deputy Nilufer Alimjanova expressed the opinion that this proposal does not meet moral standards and suggested postponing its consideration for a more in-depth discussion. As a result, the deputies agreed to take a break in the session.
At the moment, the deputy groups "Adilet Kyrgyzstan," "Ala-Too," "Ata-Jurt," "Mekenchil," and "Eldik" are holding their own meetings for consultations and nominating candidates for the position of speaker.
Deputy Eruulan Kokulov also addressed the potential speaker with a request to ensure the possibility of free discussion, without turning off the microphones of the parliamentarians, even if their speeches may be uncomfortable. He emphasized the importance of being able to ask questions to government members without excessive protection from the speaker.
