
At a meeting of the Bishkek city hall, where the results of 2025 and plans for 2026 were discussed, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev was present. This information was provided by the government press service.
Kasymaliev noted that over the past five years, the consolidated budget of the country has increased fivefold, exceeding 1 trillion soms. Bishkek continues to be the main financial center: of the 304 billion soms collected by the State Tax Service, 198 billion 7 million soms (approximately 65 percent) come from the capital. He also urged law enforcement and fiscal authorities to stop unreasonable business inspections.
In recent years, the budget of Bishkek has significantly increased: if in 2021 it was 10 billion 7 million soms, the actual revenues in 2024 reached 37 billion soms.
Kasymaliev also noted the active development of urban infrastructure, including the construction and repair of roads, the opening of new parks, the cleaning of the Ala-Archa and Alamedin rivers, as well as the improvement of the BCHK embankment and housing construction.
The social sphere is also receiving special attention: since 2022, 30 new schools have been opened in Bishkek, and about 40 educational institutions have undergone major repairs. In 2026, the construction of another 32 schools is planned. The capital has 143 home-type kindergartens.
The head of the cabinet emphasized the renewal of municipal transport: since 2021, 1,493 gas and electric buses have been purchased for the city, and over the past two years, municipal services have received 446 units of special equipment. A plant for processing solid household waste with a capacity of up to 1,000 tons per day has also been launched, generating electricity.
As a result of the city hall meeting, instructions were given for the further development of the capital.
