At the final meeting of the city hall, held at the "Tunguch" theater on February 12, 2026, chaired by Adylbek Kasymaliev, the results of the capital's work for 2025 were summarized and future plans were discussed.
First Deputy Mayor Mirlanbek Baigonchokov reported on the implementation of a significant administrative reform. As a result, the boundaries of districts were changed, and new departments were opened in the Lenin and Pervomaisky districts to more promptly address local issues. Over the past year, 6 social facilities were built in Bishkek, 18 streets were repaired, and over two thousand new streetlights were installed. Among the notable achievements are the renovation of a kindergarten in the village of Orok and improvements to utility networks.
It is also worth noting that digitalization continues to develop. The "My City" app has become popular, with over 530 thousand downloads. Now, it allows users to track the movement of buses and trolleybuses in real-time and to build routes with transfers. "Smart stops" with voice notifications and the "Auto-evacuator" system are being implemented in Bishkek. Moreover, tenants of municipal land have gained the ability to make online payments and process documents without the need to visit the city hall.
One of the main strategic outcomes of the year was the creation of the General Plan for the Development of Bishkek until 2050. This project was developed in collaboration with specialists from St. Petersburg and has already been discussed with the city's residents. The authorities are now focused on implementing this long-term plan, which will guide the development of the capital over the coming decades.
