Kyrgyz Bank Received a $50 Million Loan from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank

On February 12, an agreement was signed in Bishkek between the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, which initiated a concessional loan of $50 million for the State Development Bank. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

The funds obtained are planned to be used to support micro, small, and medium enterprises that are engaged in projects in the field of environmental sustainability and efficient resource use. In particular, the focus will be on:

reducing energy consumption and operating costs;
implementing energy-efficient technologies;
developing alternative energy sources;
modernizing production processes;
reducing negative impacts on nature.

It is expected that the implementation of this project will contribute to increasing investments in sustainable initiatives of small and medium businesses, enhance the technological base of enterprises, strengthen the competitiveness of local companies, create new jobs, and assist in achieving the country's climate and social goals.
