According to the report, there are 68 museums operating in the Kyrgyz Republic, employing 1,291 people. During the reporting period, 354 exhibits were restored, 2,200 items were supplemented, and about 25,200 objects underwent the process of digitization.
The total number of visitors to the country's museums exceeded 1.2 million people.
This year, several private properties were transferred to state ownership, including:
- The house-museum of Alykul Osmonov, located in Bishkek;
- The museum of Jusup Abdrakhmanov in the Issyk-Kul region;
- The Koshoy-Korgon complex in the At-Bashinsky district of the Naryn region;
- The art gallery of Askar Salymbekov, also in the Naryn region.
In addition, craft centers have been established based on three museums, and four cultural and information centers have been opened, designed for independent visits and training for tourists.
