According to the new system of managing the law enforcement block, the General Prosecutor's Office and the military prosecutor's office will focus solely on overseeing compliance with the law. This was announced by President Sadyr Japarov in an interview with IA "Kabar".
According to Japarov, "The General and military prosecutors will receive the functions of controlling the legality of actions of all state structures. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will only perform its core duties, retaining the right to conduct investigations within its sphere. We will also prepare a clear list of powers that will be enshrined at the legislative level," he added.
The president noted that such segregation of functions is important for ensuring justice: "This also applies to economic crimes: if a person has indeed committed an offense – they will be punished, and if they have been slandered – they will be acquitted. The presence of two independent bodies contributes to making correct and objective decisions," he summarized.
