The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan, Saidikram Niyazkhodzhayev, met with the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev. This was reported by the parliament's press service.
During the conversation, issues related to the expansion of political and economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties between the two states were discussed. Additionally, attention was given to the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Marlen Mamataliyev noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in deepening friendly and good-neighborly relations with Uzbekistan, emphasizing the need to continue strengthening the strategic partnership. "We must maintain this spirit in our efforts," he added.
The Speaker also highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy for the successful implementation of previously reached agreements.
Saidikram Niyazkhodzhayev, for his part, expressed support for the active development of Kyrgyzstan and its achievements, as well as shared his plans to deepen bilateral cooperation in his role as ambassador.
