
On February 23, in Geneva, within the framework of the 61st session of the UN Human Rights Council, a meeting took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, and Ignazio Cassis, head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the discussion, important aspects of Kyrgyz-Swiss cooperation were addressed, including political dialogue and trade-economic relations, as well as the implementation of the partnership program for 2026–2029 and cooperation within various international organizations.
Minister Kulubaev congratulated the Swiss side on the occasion of assuming the chairmanship of the OSCE in 2026 and confirmed readiness for active cooperation within this international structure.
Particular attention was paid to issues of improving trade-economic relations, attracting investments, as well as cooperation in the field of tourism and the implementation of joint projects.
As a result of the negotiations, both sides expressed interest in further deepening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland, as well as in maintaining a constructive dialogue.
